CERES IS AN OCEAN WORLD - DISCOVERY OF A DWARF PLANET.
According to a recent study, CERES, The largest object in asteroid belt found between the MARS and JUPITER, is considered an ocean world.
From NASA'S DAWN SPACECRAFT, a data analysis has revealed that there is a 40 kilometres deep reservoir of salt enriched water under its surface. Scientists say, "Mysterious bright spots on Ceres are salt crusts left behind by this saline water, which percolated up to the surface and got evaporated. The spots are located in a large impact crater. They are likely to be formed in around 2 million years.
